Overview

The Public Cloud Partner Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving TierPoint's relationship, standing, and communication with its Public Cloud partners/suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft and/or AWS Public Cloud partner programs and strong familiarity with Public Cloud technology. This individual will work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing leadership to drive product initiatives, solution adoption, and partner status. The Public Cloud Partner Manager for Public Cloud must be able to fulfill the significant role of broad interaction between TierPoint and our Public Cloud partners.

Responsibilities
    Align Public Cloud Partner Program management with product launch plans
  • Understanding of public cloud partner incentives, rebates, and licensing for assigned products
  • Collaborate with Marketing on product launches and help translate public cloud partner initiatives to opportunities
  • Track and disseminate Public Cloud Partner Program updates, notifications, and changes
  • Access and engage in special/strategic Public Cloud Partner Programs based on Product direction
  • Aid in co-sell initiatives between channel partners, public cloud partners, and TierPoint sales organizations
  • Assist with customer support, sales, and special request escalations
  • Manage Public Cloud Partner Program status and drive fulfilling requirements
  • Lead parallel efforts to obtain top certifications and tier status with Public Clouds including Solution Specialists, AWS MSP, and Microsoft Azure Expert
  • Conduct business reviews for leadership regarding internal and external progress and metrics
  • Assist with proof of concept, trial, and demo capabilities
  • Work across all TierPoint Product management in bridging 3rd party technology partner solutions (Marketplace Partners) with the Managed Public Cloud practice
  • Assist with public cloud and channel partner referrals and leads
  • Proactively manage program and related renewals
  • Assist Marketing, Operations, Product, and Professional Services teams in obtaining relevant public cloud partner information, documentation, and tools
  • Leverage public cloud partner tools to report on solution adoption and customer insights
  • Provide quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
  • Work with Product team to help update key product related sales assets, including TierPoint Services Guide, training materials, and product-related process and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience in managing public cloud partner programs for AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with public cloud partner portals (APN and/or Partner Center)
  • Understanding of public cloud partner incentives, rebates, and licensing for assigned products
  • Understanding of public cloud partner audit and preparation process for advanced competencies and tier status
  • High level of familiarity with information technology and cloud computing, including solid experience/familiarity with AWS and/or Azure
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to independently make and support decisions
  • Facilitate and champion communication between internal and external organizations
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented individual
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with VMware Partner Programs
  • Experience with other 3rd party technology partner programs (Marketplace Partners)
