Job Description

The Business Analyst will help drive the growth of the IT Project Management discipline by supporting key technologies used for project strategy, execution, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include process and tool support in collaboration with PMO, IT teams, and various stakeholders and end users globally. This role also assists in process and standards development, solutions deployment, and general maintenance and monitoring of the project systems. The role must be able to effectively troubleshoot problems, identify solutions, and perform routine administration at the application levels. Prior experience in project management and related project control tools is highly desired. You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach and support end users in processes, tools, and techniques.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic tools support and administration
    • MS Project Online and MS Project Professional
    • MS SharePoint and Teams as utilized in project execution support
    • Technical support of end users; responds to technical incidents related to the PMO application support portfolio
    • Develop knowledgebase and support aids
    • Project initiation and start up assistance related to cost and scheduling tools
    • Development and maintenance of related training materials
    • Coordinate and plan enhancements with other team members
    • Tools provisioning and delivery support

  • Process and Standards Development
    • Works with PMO stakeholders, project, and resource managers to develop and enhance PMO standards, procedures, and playbooks
    • Create PMO templates, training materials, and playbooks.
    • Process development related to interfaces with other business functions such as finance and procurement.

  • Business Systems Analysis
    • Process and workflow design and development, working in tandem with internal stakeholders and consulting partners
    • Process development related to interfaces with other business functions such as finance and procurement.
    • Design and develop business intelligence reports

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience administering Microsoft SharePoint and/or Teams
  • 1-2 years' experience with MS Project Online or Project Server with MS Project Professional
  • 2-3 years' general experience supporting enterprise applications
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and project control methodologies
  • Process and detail oriented, strong organizational and change management skills

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years' experience working in a IT project support or management role
  • 1-2 years' experience with SAP PPM
  • 1-2 years' experience with Microsoft PowerBI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Microsoft Power Automate
  • Familiarity or experience with process management methodologies such as PMBOK, Six Sigma or other ITIL delivery methodologies
  • Detail oriented, natural curiosity and tenacity
  • PMP certification

Education

  • BS/BA or Technical Certification in a related Information Technology field
