As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for bridge inspections and providing design and support for a broad range of structural engineering assignments. You will perform engineering-related calculations, analysis, and design tasks under the supervision of a licensed engineer. This is the perfect role with a blend of in-office and project site experience!

• As part of a team guided by experienced Professional Engineers, you'll inspect bridges and structures around the Milwaukee, WI area
• You will be responsible for documenting and reporting bridge conditions for routine or complex inspection assignments
• You'll write reports and analyze load ratings of bridges and culverts working with WisDOT, counties, and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure
• Assist in business development activities, assisting in creating letters of response and technical proposals/presentations
• Coordinate with government agencies, client staff, and other professionals to obtain design information and approvals
• Perform Quality Control to ensure designs, plans and calculations are complete and accurate
• Bringing it all together, you will prepare drawings in MicroStation or AutoCAD to assist with recommendations to clients for rehabilitation or preventative measures

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's Degree preferred
• Proficient in MS Suite and progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing MicroStation or other structural design and drafting software.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, clients, candidates, and/or public stakeholders
