Reporting to the Director of National Account Sales, this position will manage major direct accounts and is primarily responsible for the sale of natural colors to dairy industry customers in the United States.
Meets or exceeds sales budget targets on a year-to-year basis;
Secures existing business from regular customers and finds new business from prospective customers;
Negotiates contracts and other legal documents involving in-depth product, industry, pricing, and competitive information;
Formulates and recommends an in-depth account strategy for assigned territory based on customer needs;
Generate sales leads and opportunities with assigned territory, as well as following up on leads to quality prospects and convert prospects into customers.
Preferred knowledge and skills:
Ideally 4-6 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility in a commercial environment working with food and beverage manufacturers;
Experience in the dairy industry is a plus;
Passion for the food industry;
Ability to travel up to 50% of working time;
A self-starter with drive and initiative and performs with little supervision.
