Position Description
Install, trouble shoot and test electromechanical and electronic relays, RTU's and associated equipment. Assist Communication Technicians to install and maintain radio communication devices for SCADA/Substation communications. Interact with TEP communication engineers during project planning meetings. Work with Project Engineers during substation commissioning. Work with substation department installing and terminating wiring of relays, RTU's, PT's/CT's and other related substation equipment that would connect to the RTU during new construction or system upgrade, may include installing conduit and pulling wire. Make relay setting changes per relay protection engineers requests. Assist substation personnel during commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting with Doble power factor, SFRA, TTR, CT tester, micro-ohmmeter and other related substation test equipment, but not limited to assisting and performing other related substation duties as assigned.
