Job Description

Position Overview

  1. Customer Events: Further develop the Zones relationship with prospects, emerging and established customers through hosting world-class events. Help sales teams open and develop opportunities at these events. This position will do this by leveraging virtual event platforms, social media and other digital tools.
    • Work with PPM and Sales to develop topical themes for each event and define target audience (partners and customers).
    • Negotiate with vendors to get the best rates.
    • Work with sales to select invitees two months in advance. Send invitation 6-7 weeks in advance.
    • Provide partners with overview and clear expectations for their presentations. PPM Directors should have final presentations at least 10 days in advance to review and amend if necessary.
    • One week prior to the event, hold a meeting with all attendees to review schedule and expectations.
    • After the event, follow-up with all customers to thank them for their attendance and ask for their input on a survey.
    • Track and communicate CRM results at 30, 60, 90 days.
  1. Corporate Events: Reinforce and strengthen Zones' culture, vision and values through corporate events for team members.

  1. Budget: Stay within budget for all events by preplanning, forecasting, negotiating upfront and after an event.

The Digital Events Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for:

  • Event Planning:
    • Work with key stakeholders to understand the objective of each event and build an event strategy to accomplish this.
    • Evaluate venues or digital footprint for the event.
    • Negotiate with vendors to get the best rates.
    • Contract with the vendor that provides the most value at the lowest cost.
    • Manage invitation list and RSVPs
    • Create pre, during and post planning document to include the social media and communications plan.
  • Budgeting:
    • Build budget and determine funding sources. Stay within budget for all events by preplanning, forecasting, negotiating upfront and after an event.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related work experience required.



  • 3 years' experience in digital event marketing.
  • Direct marketing experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to budget and forecast.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to travel 3-5 days per month on average
