Production Associate (Ultrasonic Tester) in Waukesha, WI!
What you will do:
The Ultrasonic Testing Technician is responsible for utilizing testing equipment to perform non-destructive inspections utilizing high frequency sound waves to measure physical properties such as thickness measurements and to identify material flaws including detecting cracks, corrosion or other defects in the gas cylinder which may classify the cylinder to be unsafe for use.
Your responsibilities:
- Inspects gas cylinders to detect surface defects and tests thickness of cylinder walls.
- Operates computer equipment and valve machine (if applicable) in order to conduct testing.
- Understands and follows SP143130/ UE Standard Operating Procedures for testing.
Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment to safely move gas cylinders off of pallets onto testing equipment.
Inspects, maintains and performs maintenance on ultrasonic testing equipment. Calibrates and adjusts ultrasonic testing equipment to required standards and settings.
Records test results, cylinder serial number, and test date in a timely and accurate manner. Stamps test date and label gas cylinders once ultrasonic testing is complete.
- Reviews and interprets test results and documentation as it relates to local, state, and federal compliance and
Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Ensures that defective cylinders or those requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.
- Additional duties and projects as may be assigned.
- May assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers.
May assist with inventory, general housekeeping, and help with customers.
- May assist with filling cylinders to proper pressure or weight.
- May paint cylinders as needed.

What you will have:
- High School Diploma or GED
Completion of 40-hour Ultrasonic Testing training course and certification required
- Prior experience utilizing SAP preferred
Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite applications.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude and familiarity to hand tools
Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Detail oriented with the ability to complete handwritten compliance documentation neatly and accurately
- Ability to operate a fork-lift.
