Iridium seeks an exceptional entry level engineer to contribute to the research, development, testing, and sustaining engineering activities of the Iridium services and ground communications infrastructure. Education or demonstrated work experience in engineering practices and software/hardware testing, as well as a desire to build leadership skills is necessary for success in this position. The ideal candidate will assist in verifying the reliability and robustness of Iridium products and communication services, have a vested interest in the long-term success of their work, and be highly self-reliant.
Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Desirable Abilities and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field experience
Some experience developing software in C, C++, C#, Java, Python and/or other computer languages
Must have an interest in test automation systems development
Must have an interest in providing high quality, cost effective system integration, test, and support services
Knowledgeable with network switches and routers; Cisco or other network certifications beneficial
Experience with the Microsoft Windows and Office product suite
Willing and able to travel up to 15 days annually
Willing and able to be on-call to support operational issues
Written and spoken proficiency in English is required
U.S citizenship is required
