Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Marketing Analyst supports the implementation of the strategic and technical marketing plans for SCS through marketing communication activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for assigned global trade show orders and activities, working directly with the Marketing Communications Specialist and Market Segment Management team, under the direction of the Marketing Communications Manager. Various activities include initiating pre-show meetings, placing show orders, coordinating shipping process, managing supply inventories, etc.
· Coordinates assigned SCS Parylene seminar and webinar details with marketing team.
· Researches competitive activities and assists in maintenance of the online SCS Competitor Database, raising awareness to SCS management when issues arise.
· Supports, as needed, the writing, editing, publishing and distribution of the Global Coverage newsletter.
· Organizes and distributes marketing (pre-sales process) mailings (sub-vertical direct mails, equipment direct mails, webinar e-invitations, etc.) for assigned projects.
· Prepares, as needed, monthly sales reports that are incorporated into higher level Marketing and Sales reporting, including preparation of the yearly sales budget and re-forecasting files.
· As part of the Marcomm team, assists in the development and implementation of global marcomm programs, including SCS collateral, website content, advertising campaigns, site branding needs, etc.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists with editing corporate presentations, technical papers, customer presentations, etc. on an as needed basis.
· Assists Market Segment Managers/Specialists with market and sub-vertical research.
· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
· Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline (Marketing preferred). 1 + years of marketing experience preferred.
BASIC SKILLS:
· Must possess well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, including strong writing and editing skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software.
· Ability to interact closely with Marketing and Sales personnel to support customer focus and efficient operations.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Ability to give and follow verbal and written instructions.
