Job Description
Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.  

Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking a Linen Room Coordinator to join our team.

The Linen Room Coordinator is responsible for controlling and maintaining the linen room and linen inventory.  This involves organizing and maintaining an accurate inventory of uniforms and linen, informing a supervisor when items fall below established par levels. This position also works closely with our linen vendors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure the linen room is neat and organized
  • Send out soiled linen and uniforms in a timely manner, with recording everything that goes out
  • Receive linen and uniforms, checking that quantities match what went out and the quality of the work done by the vendor
  • Maintain established par levels for items in circulation and back stock, notifying supervisor when purchases are needed
  • Work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage and the Director of Convention Services to forecast weekly linen needs
  • Review invoices from the vendor to ensure that we have been charged correctly
  • Complete monthly inventories
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Handle uniform alterations and some simple repairs
Background and Skills
  • Prior experience working in a linen room at a luxury property
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Sewing skills, simple alterations and repairs
  • Able to work on several things simultaneously
  • Able to work flexible hours - some weekends and late evenings required
Environment
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to work well in a busy noisy environment
  • Able to lift 40 pounds
  • Able to push full linen carts and racks
