Our Marketing team, working closely with our Business Development team, is entrusted with the critical responsibility of building client and community relationships, winning work, and cultivating a business development culture. POSITION SUMMARY
As the Director of Marketing (Marketing Director) at Bartlett Cocke, your leadership will shape and drive our corporate marketing and branding initiatives to ensure our presence resonates effectively across our target markets. You will steer the regional marketing staff located in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, while also managing co-marketing relationships and marketing assets. Your expertise in content strategy and adept “traffic control” of marketing operations will translate our strategy into actionable tasks. Your work will underpin our culture, which is deeply rooted in fostering genuine, long-lasting relationships, family, taking ownership, striving for excellence, and ensuring every client and community experience aligns with what we stand for.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership and Coordination: Direct corporate and regional marketing activities and branding initiatives to reinforce and elevate our presence in the Texas construction market.
- Team Development: Foster the growth and development of marketing team members across our three regions through mentorship, training, and performance evaluation to equip the team with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Social Media Strategy: Taking full ownership of our content, leveraging our deep subject matter expertise, and proactively managing our social media strategy to foster genuine connections and provide valuable insights to our audience.
- Co-Marketing Initiatives: Foster and manage co-marketing relationships with an eye toward mutual benefit in engagements that elevate our brand and market position.
- Asset Management: Oversee the management and optimal utilization of marketing assets for consistency and appropriate access across all regions.
- Content Identification: Identify content creation needs, ensuring all marketing materials are relevant, current, and in line with our brand and objectives.
- Traffic Control: Efficiently manage the “traffic” of marketing activities, translating overarching strategy into actionable tasks for regional staff and ensuring timely and impactful results.
- Digital Marketing Management: Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing strategies such as SEO, SEM, and email marketing to enhance the company’s online presence.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of campaigns and initiatives, using data-driven insights to guide future marketing strategies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring that all marketing activities are cost effective and yield positive ROI.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Coordinating with client relationship managers and business development teams to ensure marketing strategies and materials align with client expectations and industry standards.
- Internal Communications: Collaborate with HR and other leaders in the organization to facilitate internal communication strategies that ensure employees are aware of company news and achievements, and that contribute to a cohesive culture.
- Vendor & Agency Management: Select and manage relationships with vendors and external marketing agencies to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and campaigns.
- Crisis Management: Develop and manage crisis communication strategies to safeguard Bartlett Cocke’s culture and relationships with communities, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Competitor Analysis: Regularly conduct competitor analysis to stay aware of market trends and ensure Bartlett Cocke maintains a competitive edge in its marketing and branding strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- A solid history of leading marketing teams with a proven ability to achieve marketing objectives.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in brand management and strategic marketing within the construction industry, especially in the Texas market.
