Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.
Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking a Construction Services Manager to join our Operations team.
The Construction Services Manager must have experience procuring and managing architectural, engineering, design, and construction services. The candidate must also have experience in developing and managing the construction of commercial office and retail spaces.
Essential Functions
Manage and oversight of construction and renovation projects.
Write construction and/or renovation estimates and scopes of work that will lead to meaningful and purposeful proposals for review and selection.
Participate in meetings with the Operations & Real Estate team, clients to include attending bi-weekly GSA Construction Project Management meetings to include updating constructions projects list.
Establish relationship with clients, tenants, GSA personnel to coordinate and expedite efforts on projects to influence other on acceptance of overall project objectives.
Prepare written documents that define a course of action on construction and/or renovation projects to achieve mission objectives. Prepare funding request for GSA approval, include SOW, bids and contractor recommendation.
Work with GSA Fire and Safety Branch to inspect construction and/or renovation projects for issuance of Certificates of Occupancy.
Oversight of all kitchen equipment maintenance, repairs and service contracts, including weekly kitchen inspections.
Perform general administrative duties, maintain current project management job knowledge and obtain appropriate certifications.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or related business degree
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
Experience with solicitation, review bid recommendations and management of construction is required
Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills
Environment
Position requires walking throughout the Ronald Reagan Building to oversee and inspect construction and renovation projects wherein there may be equipment noise, irregular obstacles and other conditions typically associated with construction and renovation sites.
