Job Description
The Test Engineer is responsible in providing program test support for all test functions on production programs.  Additionally, assists in developing functional test programs from specifications, works technical problems affecting test throughput, meets with customer technical representatives, works with test team to assist in resolving difficult problems and coordinates problem resolution with other departments.
  • Develops functional test software platforms from specifications
  • Coordinates test platforms built by either in-house or outside vendors
  • Assists in setting up test area for on time startup of new programs
  • Meets with customers and all levels of management on technical issues
  • Writes reports, test procedures, proposal inputs and technical papers  
  • Coaches and mentors Test Technicians on new test equipment and advanced troubleshooting methods
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects to improve test yields and reduce cost
  • Attends classes and seminars to keep up to date on test equipment as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of two years related experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including SMT
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing test software platforms (i.e. LabVIEW, TestStand, etc.)
  • Strong computer and communication skills required
  • Inter, intra-department and external contact required
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Clearance, if required
