Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. Designated as the World Trade Center Washington, DC and the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, RRB/ITC features a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.
Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the RRB/ITC, is seeking a talented Marketing and Communications Graphic Designer to join its Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong understanding of marketing and communications principles, tactics and channels. They will possess the ability to create visually compelling content that reflects our brand's story and value proposition, communicates relevant messaging and engages our target audiences. The Graphic Designer will play an essential role in shaping the Marketing and Communications’ presence and effectiveness and exploring new ways to create and deliver impactful campaigns.
Essential Functions
Primary in-house designer that will oversee all design implementation in support of projects for the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center and internal brands TCMA and Drew Company, creating and revising graphics for various marketing initiatives, including: branding, advertising, collateral, web, video, email, social media, promotional products, internal events, signage and visual displays.
Designer will develop and maintain brand standards and oversee compliance company-wide ensuring consistent visual brand experiences across all touch points.
Assist in photo and video shoots to capture content for marketing purposes.
Collaborate with marketing team members by guiding conceptual design discussions and development for brands and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop print or digital materials.
Proactively research and pursue ideas for professional development and knowledge sharing.
Oversee management of photo and video archive and others assets.
Manage production specifications and materials, bidding/negotiating pricing and the print production of materials.
Oversee relationships and projects with freelance designers and other production partners.
Manage or assist with special projects and other tasks as needed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field
3-4 years of graphic design experience with demonstrated project leadership preferred
Must possess advanced knowledge of Adobe CC: After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere. Familiarity with web-based digital design tools like Canva.
Demonstrated design expertise in all mediums including print, large format, digital and web including social media and knowledge of best practices for production and usability
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, expertise specifically in PowerPoint design, and WordPress is required
Photography/Videography: experience capturing and editing content is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Talent for managing multiple creative concepts at once while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Must be able to create refined concepts while working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
Familiarity with printing processes (digital and offset), finishing processes, and file preparation
Must possess strong organizational skills and a professional and mature demeanor in all aspects of team-relationship-building
Seeking a creative team player that is positive, highly-engaged, and possesses a strong work ethic with a desire to “do it right” not “just get it done”
Ability to play an active role in brainstorming and idea generation with Marketing team members to conceptualize innovative ideas that deliver successful solutions
Knowledge of marketing, media and design principles required

Ability to sit for long periods of time depending on your position and/or getting up and down through your work shift.
Ability to view computer for long period of time.
Ability to exert up to 5-20 pounds occasionally, when handling printing deliveries and signage.
Ability to be on feet for varied durations while performing job responsibilities.
Ability to balance, reach and grasp while climbing on a step stool and/or ladder and to crouch, grasp, and lift items from the floor properly.
