The Quality Inspector I supports all in-process and final inspections.
Determine acceptability of soldered connections and workmanship to industry and customer specifications, and Company work instructions
Performs In-Process/Final Inspections – assessment of product quality (solder workmanship, assembly requirements, dimensional requirements, and documentation of inspection); performs audits (component identification, solder paste requirements, component placement and assembly, and mechanical assembly).
Input inspection results into computerized data collection system
Interact with customers and Government individuals on product quality
Partner with engineers, production supervisors, and team leads on product quality and status
Accept ownership of product quality by identifying issues prior to product acceptance
Requirements:
High school or equivalent education
Two years of electronics manufacturing Quality related experience
Inspection experience with CCAs and/or electronic assemblies preferred
Good working knowledge of computers and ability to operate barcode equipment
Ability to understand and interpret drawings at a basic level
Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Demonstrated initiative, ability to work with others, and good professional judgment
Ability to work independently and organize time effectively
Good oral and written communication skills
Keeps work area clean and orderly
Successfully complete the following training programs: Component Identification; Moisture Sensitive Devices; Right-to-Know; ESD and Class 0 Certification; NASA – Std 8739.1, 8739.2, 8739.3, and 8739.4; IPC / J - STD certifications; specialized inspection training for assigned programs (as required)
Occasional lifting or moving material over 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds
Vision corrected to 20/20
May be required to work with hazardous materials
Must be able to read, write, and understand English
Ability to obtain a US Government granted security clearance, if necessary
