The Accountant is responsible for reporting of accounting/inventory related activity and variance analysis.
Provides daily reporting of inventory related activities
Analyze and validate FIFO system calculations
Explain and analyze inventory variances and impact to accounting
Perform End of Month activities for inventory and other tasks as required
Create and process journal entries as required
Assist in quarterly/yearly related inventory functions
Support other as needed accounting functions in a back-up capacity
Fixed asset maintenance and tracking
Internal / External Audit support
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accounting related areas
Minimum of 3 years related experience
Good knowledge of GAAP
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Knowledge of MRP systems
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Inter, intra and external departmental contact required
Ability to obtain a Government clearance, if necessary
