Job Description
Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.  

Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our Finance team.

The Assistant Controller will assist the CFO and Controller in performing and overseeing accounting functions for multiple organizations within the Drew Company.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with preparation the annual budget for the organization.
  • Assist with the monthly close and financial statements including account reconciliations.
  • Work with the external auditors to ensure audits are completed timely.
  • Aid with Accounts Payable, Revenue Recognition and monthly funding between entities. 
  • Monitor corporate credit cards and code expenses appropriately.
  • Partner with CFO on special projects including tracking of government contract invoicing.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place to protect assets, prevent material misstatements, and prevent fraud and waste.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate frequent interaction with all levels of the organization.
  • Other duties including but not limited to completion of ad hoc reporting as needed.

Job Requirements
  • BS-Accounting degree or related business degree.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred. 
  • 3 years of experience with management responsibilities.  Public accounting experience a plus. 
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics GP helpful.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and ability to delegate effectively.
