The Material Quote Analyst is responsible for the management of material inputs in support of the bid proposal process.
Assists in providing the best cost alternatives supporting the bid proposal process utilizing QuoteWin as well as other web centric tools
Knowledge of quote instructions/capture plan and provide best costing that meets customer requirements (i.e. price, MOQ, and/or lead time)
Assists in the material proposal process for all secure drawings, specialized material and testing
Loads available BOM information into the material quoting software program
Uses online interface tools to communicate with suppliers for material quotes both inbound and outbound
Communicates material strategies and objectives supporting our win-win approach in material quoting
Validates quote provided with supporting analysis
Assists in providing the Procurement Team with the bid information (i.e. lead time, target pricing, groundrules and assumptions) on quotes that result in contract awards; assists in updating all pricing and lead times in MRP upon award of a contract to ensure the Buyers Planners have the latest information to correctly drive demand
Assists in providing detailed data analysis, as requested, to support the proposed pricing for quotations
Supports continuous improvement activities Company wide
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of two years purchasing experience with experience in quoting material in the bid process in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and familiarity with EEE components and the Supply Base
Knowledge and familiarity with RFQ tool (Polydyne QuoteWin preferred)
Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Good written, verbal, analytical, negotiating and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work, and to meet deadlines
Ability to obtain a Government granted security clearance, if necessary
