This position is responsible for general duties associated with the Facilities Department.
Receives, manages, and processes work order requests as assigned by Facility Manager; ensures problems are resolved quickly
Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility
Participates on emergency response team
Responsible for lighting maintenance for the building; monthly fire extinguisher inspections; purging eye wash machines, etc.
Conducts preventative maintenance on roof top air conditioning units
Assists in all plant rearrangement projects
Informs facilities employees of major repairs and maintenance as required
High school diploma or equivalent education
Minimum one year experience related to Facilities and/or maintenance
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Good mechanical aptitude
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and H.V.A.C. preferred
Good computer skills
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout the building
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings
Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
Must be able to work overtime when necessary
