Job Description
This position is responsible for general duties associated with the Facilities Department.
  • Receives, manages, and processes work order requests as assigned by Facility Manager; ensures problems are resolved quickly
  • Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility
  • Participates on emergency response team
  • Responsible for lighting maintenance for the building; monthly fire extinguisher inspections; purging eye wash machines, etc.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on roof top air conditioning units
  • Assists in all plant rearrangement projects
  • Informs facilities employees of major repairs and maintenance as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education  
  • Minimum one year experience related to Facilities and/or maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently 
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and H.V.A.C. preferred
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout the building
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings
  • Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary
