Job Description
This position is responsible for general duties associated with the Facilities Department.

- Receives, manages, and processes work order requests as assigned by Facility Manager; ensures problems are resolved quickly
- Ensures safety standards are followed throughout facility
- Participates on emergency response team
- Responsible for lighting maintenance for the building; monthly fire extinguisher inspections; purging eye wash machines, etc.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on roof top air conditioning units
- Assists in all plant rearrangement projects
- Informs facilities employees of major repairs and maintenance as required
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum one year experience related to Facilities and/or maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and H.V.A.C. preferred
- Good computer skills
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout the building
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary
