The Project Manager will have an in depth understanding of technology infrastructure and enterprise systems design, build out, and go-live. This person will be responsible for project management activities that help propel the Institute’s technology projects forward. This includes alignment with strategic programs and coordinating among a wide range of cross-functional internal and external partners to ensure that projects are within the scope and on schedule with support from the project teams. The Infrastructure Project Manager serves as the project lead for specific, multi-discipline technical programs or projects of above average complexity and scope. Works with moderate oversight from the Senior Director, Digital Strategy and with his or her area of knowledge while ensuring the highest quality delivery and execution excellence.
Essential Functions
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
Understand the high- and low-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions
Develop & present technical comprehensive solutions to customers
Communicate and hold conference calls with internal teams, customers, and partners
Manage complex installations, report, and escalate all observed problems to proper operational escalation points
Manage the communication of project’s changes and release notices to customers
Document technical and operational procedures clearly and concisely
Be willing to work irregular hours as required
Oversee and at times prepare the cost estimate at multiple stages Initiate and coordinate the design efforts and the engineering processes
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
Excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal; strong facilitation skills, able to work across organization boundaries and levels (matrix organizations); excellent interpersonal & conflict resolution skills
Strong experience with preparation and maintenance of essential project documentation such as Project Plans, Charters, Design documents, Risk logs, Status reports, Communication Plans
Hands-on Technical and Business Lead/Mentor for engineering teams responsible for network and system design, implementation, support, and maintenance
Develops and manages project schedules and material budgets for implementations and upgrade projects
Develops and monitors compliance with project runbooks and company engineering policies, procedures, and practices
Manages design, deployment and operational turnover of new network infrastructure and enterprise systems
Prepares and manages IT implementation project budget and schedule forecasts for project success
Provides direction and oversight to technical personnel and contracted vendors throughout infrastructure buildout, deployment, test & check-out
Reports to and advises senior management regarding project plans, risks, security risks and concerns, realized and potential scope changes as part of maintaining and adapting project implementation schedules and objectives
Verify build of materials (BOM), request for proposals (RFP), supervise pilots and proofs of concept (POC) and creating design implementation plans based on business operational needs in consideration of ISMS compliances, policies and procedures and change management processes and within budget mandates
Develops & implements project acceptance tests, in accordance with client requirements
Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports
Manage, cost/budget, and communicate the contract changes process
Develop and maintain project schedules
Completes all weekly and monthly reporting and projections
Drives the development and implementation of key goals, objectives, and success criteria for projects
Recommends changes to improve the engineering process
Works to identify blocked or stalled stories and assists the project teams to resolve the issues or assists getting resolution
Develops, maintains, and leads detailed project plans and status reports, action item registers and major achievement timelines for all assigned projects
Proactively communicate project status and risks to all stakeholders
Prepare and take corrective action to address concerns and challenges

Information Security Responsibilities
Attend/complete assigned information security training by the designated completion date.
Read and adhere to published ISMS policies and procedures.
Report timely any observed violations of ISMS policy - or known encroachments on information security - to your department leader and/or the Information Technology Department.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline
8+ years of direct work experience in any of these areas: Microsoft Windows and Active Directory implementations and deployments, Linux implementations and deployments, VMware vSphere implementations and deployments, data center infrastructure implementations and deployments, Network implementations and deployments (WAN and LAN), website implementations and deployments, data centers, and structured cabling design and/or implementatio
PMP, CSM, CCNP, CCND, CCNA, CCDA, MCSA or other similar certifications desired
Track record of delivering mission critical programs on time, within budget, and to applicable build, quality, and safety standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Contract negotiation and administration experience
Experience building and leading teams
Experience in assessing, coaching, and mentoring direct reports and project teams
Organizational, time management and coordination skills across multiple disciplines
Starting compensation will be in the $130,000 to $170,000 range, depending on education, experience, and other qualifications.
