The Regulatory Accountant/Analyst handles regulatory revenues, maintains accounting records, and prepares required regulatory filings. The team is responsible for monitoring regulatory changes and requirements, filing reports, and ensuring compliance.

The Regulatory Accountant/Analyst handles regulatory revenues, maintains accounting records, and prepares required regulatory filings. The team is responsible for monitoring regulatory changes and requirements, filing reports, and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understanding and interpreting the application of tariff rates that tie directly to revenue.
- Preparing monthly general journal entries and coding invoices using accounting principles.
- Monitoring accounts and assisting with collection procedures when needed.
- Preparing accounts receivable billings and monitoring monthly activity for unusual fluctuations.
- Assisting with preparation of FCC filings and data requests.
- Conducting research and analyzing data related to long distance products.
- Assisting with preparation of documentation for annual financial audits.
Job specifications include the ability to:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Use computer software for accounting and word processing.
- Keep detailed and accurate records; analyze and reconcile data.
- Analyze comprehensive regulatory and legislative documents for preparation of concise summaries.
- Organize work and meet deadlines.
