Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Marketing Director that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

General Statement of duties: 

The Marketing Director is responsible for creating, implementing, and executing Sixteenth Street’s integrated, multi-channel marketing strategy that directly supports the agency’s business strategies, strengthens its reputation, and consistently and effectively articulates and advances its mission.  This position reports to the Vice President of Advancement.

Candidates must submit a resume, cover letter, and 3 writing samples for which they are the primary author.

Responsibilities:

 
  1. Design overall marketing plan. Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that span internal communications and external audiences to foster alignment and proactively shape stakeholder perceptions.
  2. Build marketing initiatives to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of overall strategic marketing plan.
  3. Assist PR Director with national/regional/local media relations to build and strengthen relations with traditional/digital media outlets.
  4. Support the Development Director with donor and development related outreach and communications.
  5. Strategize, develop, and implement internal communications to keep employees informed and inspired.  Responsible for management Sixteenth Street’s intranet (in SharePoint).
  6. Assist with the organization’s website.
  7. Strategize, develop, and execute marketing campaigns to grow and strengthen Sixteenth Street’s market presence. Review current marketing campaigns for weaknesses and develop solutions within budget constraints.
  8. Work with Social Media & Digital Content Specialist Analyze reputation and image indicators, including surveys, website traffic, and social media feedback, so messaging and tone can be adjusted, as necessary.
  9. Work with Sixteenth Street departments and programs to create and execute internal and external collateral materials and communications initiatives that support and enhance SSCHC’s brand message and image.
  10. Ensure all patient communications are written and designed with appropriate health literacy.
  11. Responsible for exterior signage at all new and existing sites as well as event signage.
  12. Work with PR Director to update and enforce editorial, graphic, and branding standards for all Sixteenth Street communications/materials.
  13. Work with Director of Events and Community Engagement to assure outreach materials comply with and support quality accreditation and donor recognition requirements such as Joint Commission, Patient Centered Medical Home, and United Way.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field required.
  2. Five (5) years marketing and organizational writing experience. Deep knowledge strategic marketing, social media, communications, and internal communications. Experience in non-profit a plus.
  3. Ability to quickly build trust and influence with leaders and collaborators at all levels.
  4. Strong analytical skills and a results-driven mindset, with the ability to develop performance management dashboards and models, translate data and information into actionable insights, and work with teammates to deliver strong results.
  5. Strong business knowledge with a demonstrated ability to understand how to use communications to drive business strategy.
  6. Experience creating and running integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
  7. Natural storyteller with excellent speaking, writing, and editing skills.  Able to easily distill messages into believable, actionable content.
  8. Knowledge of social media and data survey tools. Photography experience a plus.
  9. Excellent English grammar.
  10. Proficient with marketing-related software programs. Skilled use of Microsoft Word, Publisher, Canva, and Outlook; basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  11. Time management and organizational skills in order to plan and execute both large and small marketing projects and initiatives.
  12. Experience designing digitized images, bullets, chart, image maps and other graphics.
  13. Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks while working as part of a team. 
  14. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic/cultural and educational backgrounds and to craft messages as such in an informative and innovative manner.
  15. Spanish speaking preferred.
  16. Ability to deal with the public and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  17. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, use of an automobile, and current automobile insurance.
