POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a Central Intake Licensed Program Coordinator in our Outpatient Services program! The Central Intake Licensed Program Coordinator (LPRC) is responsible for coordination, organization and ongoing development at Outpatient Services and Central Intake Programs as well as providing a wide array of culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive, direct clinical services including assessment, counseling, supportive contacts, and referrals serving individuals who are struggling with mental health, substance use and co-occurring issues. 
The LPRC also performs duties and is responsible for supervising clinical interns assigned to the Central Intake Program. This position is responsible for writing and maintaining accurate and timely documentation, case management of their own consumers and consumers of the interns under their supervision. The LPRC attends team meetings and other regular program activities. This position participates in the planning of internship activities within the scope of Central Intake, helps interview and select interns, coordinates site requirements, and provides input regarding financial implications.  The LPRC will have a mixed payer Central Intake caseload with a focus of providing short-term AODA services to commercial consumers and a service requirement of 1040 direct clinical service hours that are a combination of intern and supervisor clinical hours.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Central Intake Licensed Program Coordinator reports directly to the Central Intake Clinical Team Leader with overall program supervision provided by Clinical Team Manager. Minimum annual service hours are 1140. This position is included in the professional bargaining unit. 
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
Education/Licensure
  • Master’s degree in a related behavioral health field
  • Licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, and SAC, CSAC or SUD specialty
Experience
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Certification (or eligibility) for MA Provider status and HSS 61.96 (2) (3) certification to bill insurance companies for mental health and/or SUD services.
  • Extensive experience in mental health and substance abuse assessment, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, case management and crisis resolution with consumers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • A strong systems theory perspective and a good working knowledge of and ability to relate to, a wide variety of service and academic agencies.
  • A strong commitment to the provision of trauma informed culturally sensitive, consumer-oriented service delivery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) and to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and leadership abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a wide range of computer operations and software, including Microsoft Office suite and Electronic Health Record software. 
Working Conditions
Proof of COVID-19 full vaccination series and booster vaccine(s) status, or non-vaccination status.

 PREFERRED
  • Fluency in Spanish or one of the Southeast Asian dialects in addition to English
A.  Provision of Clinical Services
  1. Performs accurate assessments to evaluate and diagnose mental health and/or co-occurring issues in a culturally sensitive, recovery-oriented manner by providing assessments within the context of the consumers perspectives and beliefs.
  2. Provides a range of services including level of care assessment, service coordination, therapy/counseling, support, and referrals in a context that is supportive of a consumer’s culture, values, and perspectives.
  3. Completes accurate clinical records including intakes, assessments, treatment plans and updates, progress notes, discharge summaries and other information in a timely manner.
  4. Works collaboratively with internal Journey partners and other community agencies to develop and maintain a continuum of care and maintain efficient use of community services.
  5. Provides consultation and support related to areas of specialization.
  6. Attends Team Meetings and presents consumer cultural and clinical information.
  7. Maintains minimum direct and case management service hour expectations.

B. Program Coordination

       1. Take an active leadership role within the East OPS and Central Intake programs in collaboration with Central Intake Clinical Team Leader.
       2. Supervises interns. 
       3. Maintains instructor-level competence with JMHC/OS practices, structures, and requirements. 
       4. Coordinate internship practices, structures, and requirements with site and academic advisors at various educational institutions. 
       5. Assists in the interview and selection process of potential Central Intake clinical interns. 
       6. Participates in programmatic planning for Central Intake interns. 
       7. Provides regular, weekly clinical supervision of Interns. 
       8. Provides evaluations of Central Intake interns. 
       9. Provides Case Management for intern caseloads, as needed.

C. Program and JMHC Participation

  1. Attends staff meetings, in services, and other program activities as requested.
  2. Participates in JMHC committees, trainings, and activities as directed and/or approved.
  3. Provides consultation to other JMHC programs as necessary.
  4. Performs other duties as necessary or directed.

Generous Paid Time Off! Prorated based on hire date and FTE, new staff accrue 5 weeks during first year, and accrue 6 weeks beginning on first year anniversary.
