POSITION OVERVIEW
We have an opening for a CSP Team Leader in our Forward Solutions program! The CSP Community Team Leader (CommSCSIII) assists the CSP Community Clinical Team Manager with programmatic and clinical activities of the community support program team. Primary duties include overseeing clinical services, helping with day-to-day operation of the program, representing the program to the community, providing training, consultation, supervision and providing direct services to a reduced case load of consumers.

FOLLOWING IS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The CSP Team Leader reports directly to the CSP Community Clinical Team Manager. Minimum annual service hours expectation is 1020. 
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
Education/Licensure
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
Experience
  • Experience working within a CSP team or with individuals with severe mental illness as defined by either: 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience in a practice where most of the clients are adults with chronic mental illness or 1,500 hours of supervised clinical experience in a CSP. 
  • Ability to make DSM diagnosis based on DSM assessment criteria, write a treatment plan, and carry out treatment based on the DSM diagnosis.
  • Ability to provide psychotherapy and counseling and apply techniques shown to be successful with persons with severe mental illness such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, and Trauma Informed Methodologies.
  • Commitment to work toward improving cultural sensitivity as demonstrated by valuing diversity, recognizing personal limitations, and having the desire to improve.
  • Strong commitment to principles of normalization and to facilitating consumer participation in treatment/service planning and provision.
  • Extensive knowledge of psychotropic medications, their effects, and side effects.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide culturally and clinically sound case management services to people who have severe and persistent mental illnesses.
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational, leadership and advocacy skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, a favorable driving record, adequate insurance (per state law) and access to a vehicle and willingness to use it for work (i.e. - transporting consumers).
PREFERRED
  • LCSW or LPC licensure. 
  • Understanding of the relationship between the Dane County criminal justice system and mental health treatment. 
  • Experience and specialized knowledge in providing substance abuse treatment to consumers who are dually diagnosed (i.e. - severe mental illness and substance use/dependence).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Clinical
  1. This position carries a slightly reduced caseload. They are responsible for primary clinical case management activities of this caseload as well as supervising case management activities of the clinical team.
  2. Provide ongoing clinical and programmatic supervision to the CSP team through individual and group/meeting supervision
  3. Monitor production hours of staff, support staff in managing caseloads, and support the overall clinical service provision of the program.
  4. Assist with establishing consumer eligibility for services
  5. Responsibility for the quality of community-based services provided to consumers and day to day consultation to staff in these programs.
  6. Develop and maintain skillset to provide services across the lifespan.
  7. Oversee the assessment and recovery/treatment planning process of DHS 63 criteria through culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive in-depth assessments within the context of the consumer’s perspectives and beliefs, while also coordinating with other community agencies as needed.
  8. Monitor and assess team members’ contact with consumers meets a degree sufficient to evaluate progress toward recovery/treatment plan goals.
  9. Provide or arrange for the provision of crisis management services as clinically and programmatically appropriate and necessary.
  10. With attention to required timelines, ensure that the clinical teams: maintain records of contacts and services, clinical charts, and correspondence, complete all paperwork and records required by administrative code, demonstrate good medical practice, and adherence to the contract with Dane County Human Services.
B.  Programmatic
  1. Program development in areas needed to support expansion services (i.e., therapy, vocational, individual skill development, parent coach, parent peer, and/or peer support services).
  2. Attend clinical and clinical/administrative management meetings, quarterly all supervisor’s meetings, JMHC Committee and ad-hoc change teams.
  3. Provide individual staff and supervisor supervision to team members including annual performance reviews.
  4. Represent JMHC at community events or meetings as appropriates and assist in the education and orientation of new staff, students, visitors, and volunteers.
  5. Attend in-service training and conferences as authorized and directed.
  6. Provide clinically and culturally sensitive consultation, training, and education about community-based services to other JMHC staff and outside providers on clinical issues according to individual expertise.
  7. Assist in conducting ongoing and special chart audits for the program, including the collection of data for the reports to the County and any other required reporting. Participate in regular chart audits for clinical content and make recommendations to staff for improvement.

Generous Paid Time Off! Prorated based on hire date and FTE, new staff accrue 5 weeks during first year, and accrue 6 weeks beginning on first year anniversary.
