Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Financial Services Representative  that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual. 

General Statement of Duties: 

Serves as an expert on financial assistance resources available to support patients in need of affordable medication access. Manages resources available to support uninsured and underinsured patients obtain affordable medication access. Engages with local pharmacies to ensure SSCHC patients can obtain their medications. Engages with SSCHC clinical team to identify patients who may need medications changed due to medication access barriers to care. Audit use of SSCHC Sliding Fee program to ensure program is being administered according to provided guidelines.


Responsibilities: 
 
  1. Review patient information to determine eligibility for medication assistance resources based on patient’s Federal Poverty Limit level.
  2. Review patient’s medication profile and, in conjunction with clinical pharmacist and provider, identify opportunities to reduce patient medication costs.
  3. Coordinate patient care with local pharmacies to ensure eligible patients are enrolled in cost saving programs to improve access to medications.
  4. Provide education to patients on SSCHC Sliding Fee Program to ensure they are using program correctly.
  5. Review pharmacy dispensing data to ensure SSCHC Sliding Fee program is being used correctly for all patients.
  6. Participates in SSCHC’s 340B Committee meetings and provides insight in updating SSCHC 340B Formulary.
  7. Collaborates with prescribers to find most cost effective and clinically efficacious therapy for uninsured sliding fee patients, low income insured patients, and underinsured patients.
  8. Assists patients in enrolling in patient assistance programs when needed.

Qualifications: 
  1. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a pharmacy billing specialist or minimum 5 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician.
  2. Proven high level written and oral communication skills.
  3. Previous experience working with 340B program.
  4. Ability to communicate clinical information in Spanish.
  5. Self-motivated and independent, able to work without direct supervision.
  6. Ability to process large amounts of data.
  7. Ability to work well within a team.
  8. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  9. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
