The Global Events Team at AWS is seeking an experienced content marketer who can help build and execute content across a global series of events geared at technical and business audiences across government, education, nonprofit, and healthcare sectors.

In this role, you help manage breakout agenda creation and programming to address the growing demand across the globe for AWS technical content that resonates with government, education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations at different phases of their journey with AWS. You work to identify and determine the right mix of content and selecting the right speakers (customers and AWS subject matter experts) to best deliver the content with emphasis on use cases and business outcomes. You manage working with C-suite customers and work with internal technical experts to identify trending content themes, create targeted messaging, and understand the business well enough to create programming based on the top themes. You manage the process involving the selection of session content, define goals and timelines, ensure quality control of content, and manage delivery of the content bill of materials.

Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated, extremely organized individual with experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders across the globe. You have a track record of building content, managing against tight timelines, juggling multiple programs simultaneously, be highly organized, and have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. You utilize your attention to detail, your experience in program and project management, and your excellent written communication skills to ensure high quality results.

Role is virtual and preference is to be near Amazon/AWS U.S corporate office.



Key job responsibilities
* Oversee production and delivery of all event deliverables related to content development and delivery including titles, abstracts, and slides
* Oversee speaker management, including: speaker communications, scheduling reviews and rehearsals, managing speaker communications, and providing virtual speaker support for online events and/or on-site speaker support for the global events
* Work directly with content owners to identify deliverables and deadlines, communicate expectations, and ensure results
* Analyze content and speaker performance and develop ongoing content programming strategy based on trending topics and customer needs
* Uncover topics and themes that are trending in the market and determine the best internal and external speakers and programming to address those topics
  • Ability to travel, up to 30%- domestic or international (pending COVID-19 regulations)

* 5+ years' experience in related areas of project management, event management, content management, or marketing
* 3+ years' corporate events experience
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study OR additional 4+ years' relevant professional experience
* 3+ years demonstrated experience with large-scale virtual events, including in-person and virtual formats
* Passionate about process and an innate attention to detail
* Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills
* Professional oral and written communication skills
* Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables
* Experience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organization
* Experience working with global field marketing team
* Existing knowledge of industry tools, such as Airtable, Salesforce, and HTML
* Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $80,600 - $141,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
