Job Description
Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.  

Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking an Assistant Parking Manager to join our team.

The Assistant Parking Manager reports to our Facility Manager and handles all garage operations duties as assigned to include daily staff placement, schedule coordination, uniform inspections, customer service issues, equipment malfunctions, and reporting work order requests.  Overall garage inspection and communication with the Facility Manager regarding customer and operational issues is essential.

Essential Functions
  • Parking Operations - Manage and supervise self-park, valet assisted parking, and special event valet during the shift. 
  • Revenue Control - Supervise cashiers and review all cashier reports. 
  • Scheduling - Review work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for parking operations and special events.  Review time cards.   
  • Personnel - Assist with new parking attendants, maintenance, and cashier hires including hiring and initial training packages. 
  • Training - Ensure compliance with training program and standards for all staff on the assigned shift.
  • Quality of Work - Provide necessary leadership and guidance to ensure staff is meeting performance goals and standards.  Counsel and discipline staff as required when performance standards are not being met.
  • Customer Service and Amenities Program - Assist and train parking staff to ensure customer service and amenities program items are provided to patrons.
  • Reporting - Report any accidents, suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence or matter to the garage manager or general manager.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning - Keep assigned areas neat and clean.  
Job Requirements
  • 3 – 5 years operational parking experience
  • 1 year managerial experience
  • Valid Driver's License  
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing 
  • Excellent math and basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with McGann parking software and MS Office helpful    
  • Available to work special events and other shifts when required 
  • Must be able to efficiently move and park vehicles in tight quarters
Environment
  • Physical requirements include having stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast paced environment and able to withstand extreme hot and cold weather conditions. 
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
