Oversee coordination of safety and health for all employees of McHugh, it's subcontractor, vendors, and Owners.

Implement project safety programs with McHugh and subcontractors.

Assist in planning and coordinating work to minimize risks, and aids in managing losses involving injuries or property damage.

Initiate, coordinate and conduct safety meetings and training programs to ensure the effective communication of company policy and safety standards.

Coordinate and control the development and review of job hazard analysis for each major phase of our work to ensure its safe completion. This includes assessing the need for and facilitating the training for each JHA as may be required.

Facilitate orientation of all project employees to the safety practices required by the Company.

Conduct daily comprehensive safety assessments utilizing Procore or any other system as directed.

Make recommendations to project management corrective measures for unsafe conditions and enforces when necessary.

Conduct accident investigations and completes incident reporting for Risk Management review.

Ensure injured employees are accompanied to treatment and medical evaluation and ensures all risk management protocols are followed.

Advise Project Management on Industrial Hygiene protocols; performs Environmental Monitoring or as directed.

Issues Permits to work as needed for Hot Work, Confined Space, Slab disturbance, critical crane picks, .

Accompany safety, health and insurance inspections on walk through tours as required.

Keep current on new developments regarding safety laws, rules and regulations and PPE.

Assist in preparing written appeals for safety violation citations.

Have other duties and responsibilities as required.
