Firetrace International is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer - Relocation Assistance Available

Firetrace is a global manufacturer of life-saving fire suppression devices. We’re in the business of protecting lives and livelihoods from the impact of fire. Our fire suppression systems keep businesses, people, and equipment safe by automatically detecting and suppressing fires in high-risk equipment, like CNC machines, vehicles, heavy equipment, electrical cabinets, and wind turbines.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the engineering manager, you’re responsible for working with the new product development team to uncover new product opportunities, turning nebulous information into market ready products. This role is perfect for someone who appreciates ownership of their projects and wants to turn problems into profits. You'll be on the bleeding edge of our new products, helping to bring ideas to market.

A day in your life might include…
  • Interpreting ambiguous customer requirements to develop specifications and product solutions
  • Working within multi-departmental teams while leading the technical aspects of multiple projects
  • Evaluating existing products, looking for methods to improve performance, efficiency, reliability, etc.
What we need from you
  • Willingness to work a full-time, hybrid, permanent role, based in our Scottsdale, AZ office (relocation assistance available)
  • Experience with project management essentials
  • Physical ability to lift items up to 50 pounds, stand and walk continuously, and operate warehouse machinery like pallet jacks
