Job Description
DB Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking an intermediate Data Center Systems Monitor & Control Engineer to work with the Mission Support Operations Contract (MSOC) in support of the NASA Johnson Space Flight Center (JSC) Flight Operations Directorate (FOD). This position will support the human spaceflight development, mission and training operations at JSC.

Primary Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Health and Status (H&S) of the MSOC SolarWinds platform including operations, upgrades and development
- Enhance the performance, scripts and configuration of the SolarWinds platform to maximize efficient H&S alerting, status reporting and notifications
- Coordinate and manage new software/hardware integration with SolarWinds and associated applications
- Ensure SolarWinds H&S readiness for mission and training activities
- Support all JSC facilities covered by the MSOC contract
- Identify problems with systems, coordinate escalation, monitor corrective actions and report progress
- Effectively communicate status with management, customer and users using written and verbal skills
- Maintain Health and Status configuration management and ensure H&S status is available to users
- Provide administrative and technical management support tasks as needed
Basic Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
- 5 + years of professional experience in SolarWinds
- Coordinate across organizations, lead small teams and provide feedback and training as necessary
- Effectively handle multiple tasks and respond quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to support a flexible and dynamic work schedule
Additional Experience
- Experience with International Space Station (ISS) and other Human Spaceflight Programs is a plus
- Familiarity with Dynatrace and Grafana – Prometheus is a plus
- Familiarity with JSC Systems, facilities and ground networks a plus
- Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems, Windows Servers, VM, Cisco LAN and Oracle/SQL databases a plus
- Familiarity with the Mission Control Center (MCC), Mission Training Center (MTC) and Space Vehicle Mockup (SVMF) facilities Systems at the Johnson Space Center is a plus
