Job Description
SUMMARY: 
Markets, sells, and helps implement the Bank’s cash management suite of products to existing and new business customers. Solicits new core business deposits.  Partners with commercial bankers, retail bankers, and the operations team to support clients with identifying needs, recommending solutions, implementing the product(s), and training.  Serves as a relationship manager on all deposit/cash management matters for customers.  Monitors market conditions and trends regarding cash/treasury management to ensure the bank remains competitive.  Supports the strategic direction of the organization.  Develops and promotes strong community relations. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales and Customer Service
  • Acquires, deepens, and retains business banking relationships (new and existing) with a focus on cash management products and core deposit growth. 
  • Works closely with retail bankers and commercial lenders to ensure business deposits are gathered and cash management products are cross sold to new and existing business clients.
  • Develops and executes sales presentations for customers/prospects to include formal written and oral presentations in response to requests for proposal, as well as in the regular course of business.
  • Makes cold calls to prospective customers, generates prospect lists, and cultivates referral sources.
  • Ensures the proper on-boarding of new cash management customers with the help of the operations team.
  • Assists Branch Managers with the management of business deposit relationships.
  • Provides training and continuing education to lenders and retail team members to ensure they are current on cash management products.
  • Tracks all sales-related activities through the Bank’s CRM, as well as what is required by management.
  • Entertains clients at networking events, lunches, dinners, or other events as needed, which may require after hour attendance.
  • Creates a partnership with the internal and external community, promoting a positive image of the company. 
Operations
  • Provides input and guidance on the development of cash management products and services. 
  • Completes product documentation/agreements with clients.
  • Performs account analysis calculations for business prospect proposals.
  • Executes client support and maintenance requests.
  • Tracks cash management product usage, activity, and profitability trends.
  • Ensures competitive pricing within the market.
  • Evaluates cash management products and recommends changes to Manager.
  • Supports rollout of software upgrades and new products. 
  • Remains current on all industry issues and regulations applicable to the duties of the position.
  • Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
  • Completes all assigned online or in-person Compliance, Human Resources, and Departmental training modules/classes.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • BS/BA degree, Business or Finance degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of cash management experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to remain in a standing position for long periods of time  ( 50% of the time)
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets,  office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
