Job Description
SUMMARY: 
The Residential Loan Q.C. Administrator partners with and provides support to the Processing, Closing, and Post-Closing residential lending areas. This individual reviews funded, declined, and cancelled files post-closing to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established bank policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Reviews funded, declined, and cancelled files pre and post-closing.  Makes corrections as needed and retrieves identified missing documentation from internal operations staff, borrowers, and title companies.  Specific responsibility for department tasks include:
    • Core input and HMDA final action taken within two (2) days of loan funding.
    • Review of withdrawn, cancelled and rejected loan files for accuracy and HMDA final action taken.
    • Retrieval of post-closing packages; ensure documents are properly executed and scanned to the Encompass LOS.
  • Identifies and may address or resolve ways to improve workflow timing and efficiency. Assists with updating the quality control of procedures, processes, and tracking reports. Works with management to identify process inefficiencies and submits procedural updates for approval, as needed.
  • Provides timely responses and documentation to internal file audit findings.
  • Maintains a current working knowledge of conventional mortgage lending and internal policies and procedures through assigned on-line education courses, seminars, Web-Ex training and internal policy review. 
  • Completes all assigned online or in-person Compliance, Human Resources, and Departmental training modules/classes.

SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB
  • Current knowledge of federal and state residential mortgage lending regulations including but not limited to QM/ATR Rules, TRID, HMDA, and Fair Lending.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Proven skills in assessing quality of loan documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires an understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers to include Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of automated underwriting systems preferred.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years previous related lending experience and product knowledge to accomplish primary duties.
 WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (50%-75% of the time).
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
