Nothing is more important than our fundamental commitment to this guiding discipline.Job DescriptionIBI Group is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting (AEC) company to a cutting-edge, technology-driven design firm, and is in need of talented creatives to help drive our new strategic plan and brand vision forward. We require a talented Project Designer that can take a project from beginning to end.Most of the things you'll work on: Provides technical CAD/REVIT drafting for assigned projects Provides technical detailing and project design as capabilities allow for the development of contract documents. Provides assistance to architectural team in coordinating design aspects of a project. Revises or changes drawings as necessary. Participates in project meetings and provides technical assistance to other team members as requested. Produces design work according to established standards, methods, and procedures of the office.QualificationsYou'll need to have: Degree from an accredited Architectural program 6-8 years' experience with construction documents and/or equivalent design experience Proficiency in rendering and Photoshop is a plus Proficient in Revit is a must Experience with application of the jurisdictional building and zoning codes within a variety of DMV jurisdictions is preferred, but not a deal breaker Mixed-use residential and commercial experience Desire to be a strong team player Ability to work with minimal supervision Good written and oral/presentation skills Excellent organization and interpersonal skillsAdditional InformationAdditional information: Office description:Located at 1505 Prince Street, the Alexandria office is minutes from Washington, DC and is centrally located in one of the oldest National Historic Landmark Districts.
