Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all assigned custodial projects as specified in contract and in accordance with specified quality requirements. Acts as a liaison between Goodwill employees and Government employees or Commercial point of contacts.

A. Responsible for the management of staff and client workers assigned to the contract to include, but not be limited to:
Hires, supervises, trains and provides necessary corrective actions to all employees and trainees in the duties and requirements of the contract across three shifts seven days per week; ensures that all employees and trainees are in proper uniform and carry appropriate identification while on duty; conducts employee orientation to the site(s); schedules all PTO days; writes and updates all job descriptions as required; maintains all time and attendance records.
B. Schedules staff and employee work hours to maintain adequate service levels while meeting the Unique Source 75% disabled ratio rate and staying within budgeted labor hours.
C. Maintains production standards and performs all custodial duties as required. Becomes directly involved in training and production activities as required per contract when necessary. Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks, grounds maintenance, snow removal and other tasks as assigned to include, but not be limited to:
Fills soap and disinfect containers; fills and delivers supply orders; performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, dusting, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing; other periodic work as per contract; replacing burned out light bulbs as required to maintain all contract specifications.
D. Provides excellent customer service to all customers.
E. Recognizes violations of policy, Unique Source and various other regulations. Recognizes and acknowledges positive performance of employees
F. Establishes and maintains all necessary production standards to rate trainees. Evaluates trainees every six months utilizing the production standards established.
G. Completes and maintains all reports and plans in an Operational Review Book for each contract or site under their supervision. These include, but are not limited to a Quality Control Plan, Service Delivery Plan, Training Plan, Communication Plan, Staffing Plan and Work Plan
H. Assists all staff in ensuring that work is being performed to meet contract specifications and to the Quality Control Plan. Performs daily inspections of job sites and provides a written Quality Control report to Managers and Directors.
I. Maintains equipment in good working order.
J. Maintains all personnel, production, maintenance, vehicle and financial reports as required. Maintains all supply and equipment inventories following established procedures for control and ordering of items and within established budget. Actively participates in maintaining low costs for items and establishes relationships with those suppliers.
K. Completes payroll functions for GRMS and Timestar as appropriate.
L. Assists in the planning and fiscal performance of the contracts.
M. Assists with billing and end of month processes
N. Performs all duties in a safe manner and ensures that staff assigned adhere to all safety guidelines. Maintains all standards including universal precautions, hazardous communications, SDS books and those set by OSHA for industrial safety and other regulatory agencies. Reports all accidents to appropriate Goodwill personnel and submits required reports. Keeps all hazardous items locked in appropriate areas when not in use. Identifies areas for improvement and responds to those needs. Reports all accidents to appropriate Government and Goodwill personnel and submits required reports.
O. Communicates progress, problems and concerns to the Director of Business Services.
Job Qualifications:
Two years of college,
Two years recent work experience in directing cleaning type operations in a supervisory capacity; or any combination of education and experience.
Must possess current and valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle
Must be able to obtain all required child abuse clearances and other criminal history checks required by contract.
Must possess good communication skills
Must present self in a professional manner
Ability to prioritize and organize work under minimal supervision
Ability to work beyond normal schedule as needed
Other Relevant Job Information:
Salary Range $40,000 - $44,000/yr based on experience.
