Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.Plans, lays-out, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, references, and data. Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices using computer aided design systems. Determines scaling, inserts necessary reference datums, center and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning. Prepares complete production detail drawings. Develops design drawings according to engineering sketches and proposal specifications. Includes classifications normally populated by non-degreed personnel.Preferred Qualifications : Works under direct supervision to assist engineers with all activities related to part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings. Assists with basic drafting duties by operating Computer Aided Design (CAD) equipment such as digitizers, plotters, CRT's, and associated peripheral equipment and software.Performs routine drafting assignments requiring the application of standard drafting methods, procedures and techniques. Uses a computer or other drafting techniques to perform scaling, dimensioning, or line locating according to standard industry procedures.Documents project activities and prepares reports. Compiles various details from sketches, drawings, or blueprints and makes required calculations. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experiencePreferred Qualifications : * Experience with Cadence. * Experience with low noise analog design techniques. * Experience with high speed design techniques. * Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or NX * Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills. * Ability to understand the manufacturability of designs * Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet schedules and quality requirements * Must be willing to work overtime when required to meet customer milestones * Must display excellent teamwork and problem solving skills * Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills * Good computer skills in MS Office applications such as Word and Excel * Perform work with limited supervision Collins Aerospace Diversity & Inclusion Statement:Diversity drives innovation; inclusion drives success.
