Job Description

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is seeking a School Based Therapist to work in Cincinnati Public Schools!  Join our multidisciplinary treatment organization as a member of School Based Services team.  Through counseling, care management, and group services, GCB’s licensed therapists help students and families realize their potential and overcome challenges.  Schools see better academic performance, and the community at large benefits from having healthier children and families.

Full Time Position During School Year (Summers Off)

Position Responsibilities for School Based Therapist:
  • Provide mental health therapy services to children and families in a school based setting.
  • Connect with principals, teachers, students and parents to develop rapport and trust to grow caseload.
  • Document services for billing.
Position Requirements for School Based Therapist:
  • Master’s degree in social work or counseling required.
  • Licensed as Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
  • Prior experience working with children and families through work experience and/or internships.
  • Be flexible to negotiate the politics of the school.
  • Must be available to counsel families after school hours.
