Job Description

BMT is seeking an Inventory Analyst to provide logistics and material management support to US Navy client located in West Bethesda, MD.  Successful applicant will have DoD / DHS logistics / inventory experience and capable of tracking and monitoring general equipment, and operating materials & supplies (OM&S) and other types of material during physical inventory events.  Applicants must be able to coordinate inventory schedules and de-conflict scheduling issues quickly.  Position requires excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, organization and time management with attention to detail and experience successfully working both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary project team.  Dependability, accuracy, problem solving, and professional work ethic are important.  This is a contract position subject to funding with an immediate start date. 


Candidate must be a US citizen with an active DoD security clearance.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and minimum 4 years’ experience providing DoD or DHS USCG logistics / inventory support is required.
  • DoD Security Clearance required
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience implementing federal military agency inventory control process and procedures including tracking supply levels and investigating discrepancies and damages. Working knowledge of Navy logistics terminology, OM&S and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements preferred.
  • Minimum 3years’ experience developing and maintaining detailed and accurate spreadsheets, tables and documentation required for Naval Material Accountability required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience coordinating inventory schedules and de-conflict scheduling across multiple business lines or technical areas required
  • Strong organization and time management skills with attention to detail are required
  • Excellent communication skills are required to quickly and successfully integrate with a multidisciplinary team, identify program points of contact, establish successful working relationships with program managers and other stakeholders
  • Must be proficient using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint,) and Adobe.
  • Provide high caliber client service by anticipating client needs, investigating and resolving problems and the ability to successfully work independently and collaborate across multiple business lines or technical areas is required
  • Dependable, detail oriented, pro-active, self-starter, eager to learn, professional with excellent work ethic, interested in contributing to individual and team growth
