The Service, ISR is responsible for the direct sales of service agreements and billable services within assigned business areas and territory, and for achieving growth in agreement and billable service revenue, contract coverage rates and gross margin contribution from service sales.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in scientific field or 2+ years’ experience in inside sales, field sales, or customer service within the scientific supply or similar industry
2+ years of experience and/or training in a field or inside sales position service products’ features, value proposition, and value to the customer
The ability to communicate to a technical customer base about the benefits of Biotage products and services
Excellent communication skills: (face to face, telephone, email and similar)
The ability to effectively organize and prioritize normal work activities and special projects
Proficient with SalesForce.com (CRMs), MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
The ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships in order to optimize performance and interactions with customers, customer service, technical service, inside sales, field sales, and sales management
Essential Role Functions:
Pro-active sales of agreement renewals, warranty conversion to service agreements and agreements to Billable accounts (no longer under warranty or an agreement)
Establish and maintain thorough and detailed knowledge of each service agreement’s features and coverage details in order to accurately position each agreement based on the customer’s product and its age
Diligent, proactive and effective use of the company’s CRM platform
Maintain up-to-date account data related to sales opportunities, system status, user/contact, and service history for all accounts and prospective accounts within in assigned responsibility (accounts and instrumentation)
Identify revenue growth and coverage growth opportunities and contribute to and support development of promotions and promotional materials and activities to realize those opportunities
Effective negotiation within the role’s authorization level, to maximize sales, agreement coverage rates and gross margin contribution

Travel:
<10% - Limited travel required for attendance at periodic sales or service meetings, trade shows, occasional customer visits and/or other special events
