Job Description
BMT is seeking a Program Safety Analyst to provide support to US Navy client located in West Bethesda, MD.  Successful candidate should have US Navy or US Coast Guard experience in the areas of logistics and safety procedures, data analysis and manipulation, report documentation, compliance management and training.  Successful candidate will also have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, and be successful working both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary project team.  Dependability, problem solving, and professional work ethic are important.  This is a contract position subject to funding with an immediate start date. 

Candidate must be a US citizen with a DOD security clearance.  Only candidates residing in the Washington DC area are eligible for consideration.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and minimum 5 years’ experience providing DOD/DHS logistics, data analysis and/or safety support is required.  BA or BS preferred.   
  • DOD Security Clearance required
  • At least 5 years’ experience developing operating procedures, performing data analyses and briefing upper management.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience with one or more of the following required: conducting safety inspections, assisting with investigating and correcting safety deficiencies, tracking safety compliance/training requirements, performing Job Hazard Analyses and presenting safety brown bags.
  • At least 3 years’ experience developing and maintaining detailed and accurate spreadsheets, tables, metrics and documentation.
  • Must be proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe to create comprehensive reports and training materials and create and update spreadsheets. 
  • Strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills are required, including experience coordinating across multiple business lines or technical areas
  • Provide high caliber client service by anticipating client needs, investigating and resolving problems and the ability to successfully work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams is required
  • Dependable, eager to learn, proactive, self-starter professional with excellent work ethic, interested in contributing to individual and team growth
