Job Description
SUMMARY: 
Performs daily teller activities primarily at the Bel Air branch and also supports the Forest Hill and Abingdon branches as needed based on staffing needs.  Maintains Rosedale Federal’s quality customer service standards according to the GUIDES expectations.  Provides customers with information related to the bank’s products and services.  Maintains professionalism and teamwork. Flexible with schedule as branch hours vary among the branches.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Operations:
    • Processes transactions which may include:  checking and savings deposits and withdrawals, loan transactions, safe deposit box payments and official checks.  With guidance, processes CD penalties, stop payments, ACH stop payments and currency transaction reports.  Adheres to cash handling, security and other operational procedures.  Performs window and branch settlements daily to ensure that credit and debit items balance.  Seeks to identify customer transaction patterns to protect customers’ security and report unusual patterns. Responsible for understanding and adhering to Rosedale Federal’s policies and procedures and banking regulations to include Bank Secrecy Act, Reg CC, Privacy and Customer Confidentiality.   
  • Customer Service:
    • Follows all established customer service expectations to include proper customer greetings, phone etiquette and knowing the appropriate resource to address customer inquiries.   Answers routine customer inquiries. 
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Discusses customers’ banking needs and the products and services the bank offers.  Takes classes as offered to further develop knowledge of products and banking regulations.

SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to service customer needs by discussing products and services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to count large sums of cash and coin and operate computer systems.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Basic working knowledge of personal computers, office software and other office equipment.  
  • 10 key calculator experience.
  • Dependable 
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service and/or cash handling experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to remain in a standing position for long periods of time (50%-75% of the time).
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinet
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Ability to work at different locations across the branch network.
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends and flexibility during the week.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
