Job Description

You don’t just want a job! You want an opportunity to be part of something special. A career at the ANSI National Accreditation Board is that and more.

ANAB is a recognized leader in global accreditation and a partner with the aviation, space & defense industry. If you want to make an impact, sharpen your skills, and be part of a dynamic culture, ANAB is the place for you. Teamwork is essential. Professionalism is valued. Our employees are leaders and our company has a reputation for value and rigor!

ANAB assesses and accredits bodies that certify companies to standards used in various industries such as medical devices, information security, aerospace, food safety, telecom, environmental, e-waste, energy, occupational health and safety, and others to verify that suppliers have systems in place to ensure their products and services are safe, reliable, and meet customer requirements.

We are looking for an accreditation manager for our aviation, space & defense standards; including AS9100, AS9110, AS9120 and AS6801.  Other management system accreditation programs could be added in the future, depending on the candidate’s knowledge and competence.

The Accreditation Manager is accountable for technical excellence and on-time delivery of high-quality service in conformance with accreditation and scheme requirements to support the company’s budget.

You’ll work collaboratively with peers to provide services efficiently and effectively; demonstrate team excellence to customers and staff, including contract accreditation assessors; and provide consistent, timely, and effective technical assistance to employees and assessors to enable maximum performance and consistency. You’ll also guide industry stakeholders in translating industry requirements into auditable accreditation requirements while maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction; manage and investigate complaints about customer performance; and assist in managing experienced technical professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assessments, including selection and training new assessors to prepare for future growth.

You will periodically perform accreditation assessments in order to maintain competence, as well as work directly with the customers and accreditation assessors.

This position is a remote (virtual) position. Overnight travel is required, including frequent domestic and international travel.

We offer a very competitive compensation package including a 403(b) retirement plan with matching, a generous paid-time-off (PTO) plan providing flexibility to balance your work and home life, and comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance plans, plus additional optional benefits.

You must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a graduate degree preferred, a successful work history of at least three years’ experience. Twelve or more years of experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree. You must have two to five years of experience with accreditation and/or certification and management systems (including AS9100).  You must at least have a thorough understanding of the aviation, space & defense industry.  Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.

The mission of the ANSI National Accreditation Board requires the Accreditation Manager to perform in a professional and personable manner. The manner in which the employee relates to co-workers, customers, and visitors is as important as administrative ability. Showing respect and consideration for the dignity of each customer, visitor, volunteer, and co-worker is a requirement for successful job performance.
