Job Description
Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP) has an opening for a full-time Security Clerk to provide administrative support to the Facility Security Department by performing basic clerical functions as well as administering more complex, yet routine activities, and providing assistance for non-routine processes/events as necessary.

SEA CORP is a veteran-owned business, based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Founded in 1981, we have been providing services to the Navy for over 35 years.  Our core business is providing systems, software, and hardware engineering services, as well as test and evaluation services to the U.S. Navy, chiefly for submarine electronic systems.

We have enjoyed steady, planned growth for over three decades, and have grown to over 400 people with operations in multiple states.  Our strength lies in our highly trained and professional staff who consistently exceed customer expectations. 

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a high level of attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to constantly changing demands. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills and demonstrate capability to take on new and unfamiliar tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Logging incoming and outgoing visitors and issuing/collecting badges;
  • Escorting guests in and out of SEA CORP facilities;
  • Preparing indoctrination and termination packages;
  • Tracking initial and refresher security briefings and trainings to include sending notifications to employees;
  • Maintaining department office supplies;
  • Assist with security self-inspections and assessments as directed;
  • Awareness of and compliance with company security policies and procedures;
  • Awareness of and compliance with National Industrial Security Program (NISP) policies;
  • Participation in department staff meetings and trainings as required; and
  • Performing other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:
Required qualifications are:
  • High School Diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate);
  • Average-level use of Microsoft Office products, Outlook and internet proficiency;
  • The ability to learn new functions and programs/systems quickly; and
  • 1-3 years of administrative or security related duties.
Preferred qualifications are:
  • Intermediate-level use of Microsoft Office products, Outlook, internet proficiency, experience with FileMakerPro, Microsoft Access, and SharePoint;
  • Associate degree in a related field, and
  • Five or more years of security experience.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance is required.
