SEA CORP is seeking a full-time Platform Engineer to be based out of Newport, RI.
Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP) is a veteran-owned business, based in Middletown, Rhode Island. Founded in 1981, we have been providing services to the Navy for over 35 years. Our core business is providing systems, software, and hardware engineering services, as well as test and evaluation services to the U.S. Navy, chiefly for submarine electronic systems.

Job Summary: The Platform Engineer will work closely with both customers and colleagues on assigned tasking and will perform analysis and develop concepts for submarine electronics packaging, including requirements for power, cooling, cabling, and installation. Some travel, including overnight trips, may be involved with this position.
Required Education and Experience: The ideal candidate will have Platform Engineering experience in a shipyard environment, with experience in a trade such as arrangements, power, HVAC, and/or shipboard cabling. Applicants should be computer literate, self-motivated, and have the ability to utilize creative thinking in problem solving. This position requires the candidate to be comfortable working in a shipyard and/or military environment.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, however, will accept experience working in a shipyard, or US Navy submarine military experience in lieu of a degree.
U.S. citizenship and an active Secret level DoD clearance is required.
