Job Summary:
SEA CORP has openings for full-time experienced Systems Engineers based in Manassas, VA.  Systems Engineers are generally former or transitioning Fire Control Technicians with the US Navy.  These positions will be responsible for integration of subsystem products and debugging interface problems for all platforms.  Additional responsibilities include:
  • Day-to-day lab hardware management and tracking (in-lab)
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of lab assets in support of SWFTS I&T events
  • Supporting development of the facility plan with Technical Lead and Test Engineering
  • Identification of defective hardware and coordinate its return/fix
  • Maintenance of bay hardware configuration lists
  • Installation of software builds
  • Tracking hardware movement within the test facility
  • Coordination faulty hardware shipments and tracking their replacements with shipping and hardware vendors
  • Assembly of test bays
  • Testing faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems
  • Maintenance of equipment logs for performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests
Education and Qualifications:
Former military experience (FT, STS, ITS, ETR, ETV) with a full understanding of US Navy Submarine Combat Systems (BYG-1, SONAR, IMAGING, etc.) preferred. In lieu of military experience, a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field and a minimum of two year’s professional experience working with submarines is required.

Candidates should be able to perform as self-starters, work with minimal supervision and oversight when necessary, and be willing to work off-shift at times to support deadlines. These positions require travel to a variety of off-site test events, 6 – 10 times annually.

U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret clearance is required.
