Job Description
Job Summary:
SEA CORP has a full-time opening for an Engineering Technician IV at our Middletown, RI facility. The position will primarily support the design and integration of Advanced Technology Development systems on a variety of US Navy submarine and surface ship classes. The position includes performing in-process Quality Assurance inspections and the mechanical/electrical assembly of engineering prototypes. The technician will generally work in a team setting under routine supervision, and from detailed drawings and procedures. Some travel, normally less than 10%, may be required with this position

Duties and Responsibilities may include:
  • Mechanical and electrical assembly of complex naval antenna systems
  • Electrical and Radio Frequency (RF) testing of sub-assemblies and completed antennas
  • Conduct receipt inspections and determine serviceability of fleet-returned assets as well as electrical and mechanical inspections to ensure vendor compliance of received parts
  • Conduct Quality Assurance inspections on new and repaired assemblies as required by directives
  • Assemble engineering prototypes including providing product improvement feedback to engineers/developers--complete drawing redlines and associated process forms as required
  • Assistance in the development of test procedures
Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail – Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings and comprehend complex verbal and written instructions
  • J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist in Soldered Electrical and Electronics Assemblies
  • Working knowledge of RF and electronics testing procedures
  • Strong mechanical assembly skills
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment including Network Analyzers and Signal Generators
Qualifications/Requirements:
Associates Degree in an Electronics Technology field and 3 years related experience; or Military Training School Graduate with 5 years related experience. Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team may be required, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Position requires constant learning as part of a team effort to develop innovative technical solutions.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance is required. Current clearance preferred
