Job Description
Must be willing to work one of the shifts available:
Monday - Thursday, 5:30pm - 4:00am, or
Friday - Sunday, 7:00am - 7:00pm
Experience as a Lead or working on team projects is strongly desired for this entry-level salaried supervisor role.
The focus of the Production Supervisor is to develop, own, and execute the production schedule and lead a team with excellent safety, quality, cost, on-time delivery, and inventory performance. This position is a great opportunity for someone to come into the company with great upward opportunity. Responsibilities:
- Hire, Train, coach, mentor, and develop employees and teams
- Drive operational continuous improvement, with measurable results in Safety, Quality, OTD and Cost
- Develop, publish, and perform to production schedule
- Hold self and others accountable to key performance metrics
- Gather and track data for key performance metrics
- Quickly understand product flow and be able to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the process
- Assign employees to work stations and schedules
- Supervise output and maintain production rates set forth for all resources
- Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed
- Manage shift performance appraisal, employee relations (including to recommend discharge if needed), and resolving conflicts
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated leadership of projects or people
- Lean Six-Sigma experience preferred
- Drive to grow career and responsibilities required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing required
- Strong analytical aptitude and a data driven way of managing others
- BS in Engineering, Operations management, Supply Chain or similar preferred, significant experience in management considered.
- Master’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of MRP operations preferred.
