Job Description
Must be willing to work one of the shifts available:
Monday - Thursday, 5:30pm - 4:00am, or
Friday - Sunday, 7:00am - 7:00pm

Experience as a Lead or working on team projects is strongly desired for this entry-level salaried supervisor role.


The focus of the Production Supervisor is to develop, own, and execute the production schedule and lead a team with excellent safety, quality, cost, on-time delivery, and inventory performance.  This position is a great opportunity for someone to come into the company with great upward opportunity. The right candidate will understand the importance of holding employees accountable in a way that fosters teamwork, good process, transparency, and a positive environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Train, coach, mentor, and develop employees and teams
  • Drive operational continuous improvement, with measurable results in Safety, Quality, OTD and Cost
  • Develop, publish, and perform to production schedule
  • Hold self and others accountable to key performance metrics
  • Gather and track data for key performance metrics
  • Quickly understand product flow and be able to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the process
  • Assign employees to work stations and schedules
  • Supervise output and maintain production rates set forth for all resources
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed
  • Manage shift performance appraisal, employee relations (including to recommend discharge if needed), and resolving conflicts
  • Other duties as assigned
     
    Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated leadership of projects or people
  • Lean Six-Sigma experience preferred
  • Drive to grow career and responsibilities required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing required
  • Strong analytical aptitude and a data driven way of managing others
  • BS in Engineering, Operations management, Supply Chain or similar preferred, significant experience in management considered.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of MRP operations preferred.
