Job Description
Quality Control Inspector
Job Summary
To ensure incoming raw material and finished product comply with the required technical specifications and only acceptable product moves to the next operation and\or shipped.


Essential Functions and Duties
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications for all manufacturing orders.
  • Monitor operations to ensure production standards are met.
  • Inspect, test, or measure all product and orders using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, inficons, (leak detectors), and other gauges as required to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Reject, remove and quarantine all out of tolerance products and materials.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for production to identify root causes of any deviations from fabrication drawings and to implement remediation measures.
  • Maintain records and report all inspection and test data in accordance with existing company policies.
    Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings required.
  • Associates Degree with at least 2 years of inspector experience preferred. 
  • Basic math, writing, and oral communication abilities.
  • Military service or previous experience in the Aerospace industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality testing, time management, and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated by high accuracy/quality, minimizing errors.
  • Experience maintaining a safe and organized work area.
  • Experience meeting production goals by a specified deadline.
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and be a self-starter.
  • Experience maneuvering pallet jack and forklift driving certification preferred.
  • Physical demands – ability to lift up to 25lbs., stand/walk continuously and perform physical tasks.
  • Available to work overtime (staying late or Saturdays) when required.
