Job Summary: SEA CORP has several openings for Journeyman Level Cybersecurity Analysts in Newport, RI. The selected applicant will perform work leading Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) and other submarine systems managing approvals for the Authority to Operate (ATO).
The candidate for this position would serve as the Information System Security Officer for the systems assigned. While this position will mostly have regular business hours, some travel may be required. The applicant should have experience with the application of process and technical controls to mitigate risks to system security and methods to specify, test, and certify that the chosen controls are implemented properly using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series of special publications and meet DoD requirements. Applicant should have experience with Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes. Previous work with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) will be considered. Current familiarity with specific Linux and Windows implementation of security controls is a plus, because maintaining Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) eligibility will be required.
Education and Experience: Bachelors of Science degree in technical field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) and three year plus years experience. Or advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy C School) and 7 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service aboard a naval ship) and 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering can be substituted for the Bachelors of Science degree requirement.
Currently hold or obtain one or more of the following industry DoD Approved Cybersecurity Workforce Baseline Certifications prior to hire date: CCNA-Security, Security+, CASP, SSCP, CySA+, GISCP, GSEC, GSLC, CAP, CISM, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CSSLP, CISSP Currently hold or ability to quickly obtain one or more of the following industry DoD Approved Cybersecurity Workforce Operating Environment Certifications: Windows 10, Linux+, Red Hat Linux, CCNA, CCNE
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance is required.
