Job Description
Job Summary:
SEA CORP has an immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer Technician with a solid background of Submarine Imaging systems from an ‘end-to-end’ perspective.

Responsibilities:
Job duties include but are not limited to Submarine Imaging system testing, fault isolation, and installation oversite with concentration focused on hardware. Conduct of crew training on Imaging Systems will come into play.  Ideal candidate will have a strong background with electrical/electronic equipment and components with the ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.  Position requires candidate to be well versed with typical test equipment such as O-scopes and Digital Volt Meters.  Ideal candidate should have prior experience working in a Naval Base/Shipyard environment and know the typical requirements to perform work on boats such as MOA’s, WAF’s, SOP’s and Tagouts as well as experience with Fleet casualty reports (CASREPs) assisting with support and track to closure.  Ideal candidate should have knowledge of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) and Engineering Change Instructions (ECI’s) as they relate to the Submarine Imaging systems and performance of necessary maintenance, test, repair, modification, and updating of shipboard equipment and components per GFI drawings as called out in the ECP/ECI’s.  Candidate will be required to assist in the troubleshooting/fault isolation of Imaging systems using available documentation to the Lowest Repairable Unit (LRU) and expected to provide emergent troubleshooting, defect isolation and fault repair of imaging systems and components at Subbase Groton and offsite locations.  Candidate will be required to review the Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM’s) and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC’s) ensuring technical accuracy for each Tech Insertion (TI) both upcoming and in operation.  The ideal candidate is expected to be able to familiarize themselves with all Imaging system hardware including understanding commonality between the various systems.

Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience.  Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering is preferred. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, significant technical work experience such as active duty military or prior work in this area may be considered. Applicant should have excellent communication skills and able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring tables.  Software experience with Linux, C++, Oracle, JAVA, & HTML a plus. Experience with Fiber Optic a plus. Individual should be able to work in a fast paced environment and well versed in Microsoft Office Suite Software.
Position will require some overnight travel, estimated 10% in a given year.

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearance is required.
