Job Description
Job Summary:
SEA CORP has an immediate opening for an Electrical/Electronics Engineer with a solid background in Submarine Imaging from an ‘end-to-end’ perspective.

Responsibilities:
Job duties include overseeing the acquisition of New Programs and Modernizations for all class submarines including new construction VA thru legacy 688 and SSGN class submarines for Imaging Systems as they go through the Tech Insertion processes.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background containing design, development, testing, and/or supervision of the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, radar, and navigation systems.  Candidate should be able to write and understand performance requirements and develop maintenance schedules, perform testing/troubleshooting using test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.  Candidate should have knowledge of design elements associated to development of new system, including: stages of design reviews and all associated documents, Initial Design Review (IDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Software Development Plan (SDP), Performance Spec (PS), System Requirements Verification Matrix (SRVM) etc… as well as Program life sustainment and Special Support Equipment.  The ideal candidate is expected to be able to familiarize themselves with all hardware including understanding commonality between the various systems. Job duties requires writing and/or reviewing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) and Engineering Change Instructions (ECI’s) for any changes being made to the Imaging hardware.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering is required.  Applicant should have excellent communication skills and be able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring tables, and should know CAD, Schematic capture.  Must be able to use O-scope/Digital Volt meter.  Software experience with Linux, C++, Oracle, JAVA, & HTML a plus. Experience with Fiber Optic a plus. Individual should be able to work in a fast paced environment and be well versed in Microsoft Office Suite Software.

Position will require some overnight travel, estimated several times in a given year.

U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret clearance are required.
